RMC's 150 logo

Today, Monday, June 1, 2026 is the sesquicentennial of the Royal Military College of Canada – a significant milestone that honours the service and contribution of its graduates to our country  ̶ thanks to the staff and faculty of our internationally recognized military university.

This milestone is an opportunity to reflect on 150 years of RMC’s operation, and to celebrate its evolution as a strong, proud, equitable, diverse, and inclusive national institution, where we strive to instill the Canadian Armed Forces ethos and values to the next generation of leaders.

Our current graduates, a true reflection of the diversity of modern Canada, continue to uphold the timeless values of ‘Truth, Duty, Valour’ that are at the core of the Canadian military ethos and our institution’s motto.

The sesquicentennial of RMC also provides an opportunity to reflect on the College’s contributions nationally and internationally, and we are deeply grateful for the contribution and collaboration of the Royal Military Colleges Alumni Association, which has been instrumental in helping to achieve various activities to mark this anniversary.

RMC is a national military institution all Canadians can be proud of, and to mark our anniversary a of the Royal Canadian Mint’s $20 fine silver commemorative coin will be officially unveiled today, honouring the contribution of RMC’s graduates to Canada.
